Rural Discovery Day

Our 3-7 students will be attending the Rural Discovery Day, which is an educational day for primary students and celebrates Queensland's primary industries. It will be held at the Showgrounds on Thursday 23 May, 9.30 am - 2.00 pm.

In a unique hands-on learning experience students milk cows, pot seeds, taste honey directly from a hive, discover where their food comes from, talk to real farmers, and taste some of the best produce Queensland has to offer.

Rural Discovery Day has been held at the RNA Showgrounds since 2003 and has proven to be an outstanding educational and entertaining event.  This is an opportunity to showcase primary industries to city students in the one location.

This day allows the students here to interact with our local community the RNA showgrounds an important part of our community.  More information and permission forms will be sent home soon.
